During the production process, the sintering machine's air box, reducer, elbow, riser, big flue, tail guide box, main and auxiliary ore discharge funnels, ring cooler and other equipments are very prone to be scrubbed by the sintered ore, strong wind, granular ore, heavy dust and so on, resulting in the equipment wearing through, rupture, dislodgement and forced to shut down. In the past, the above abrasion-prone parts were lined with lining boards, refractory materials and other traditional lining materials, but due to the extremely harsh working environment of the sintering machine, the traditional lining body has a short life cycle, is not wear-resistant, the lining boards rupture and fall off, and the conveyor belt is cut, which does not play a wear-resistant protective role, and the sintering machine is frequently repaired, with great safety hazards that affect the production. Such as sintering machine tail guide box in operation to withstand a high of about 4 meters on the dolly falling vertically at a temperature of nearly 800 ℃, the weight of about 5 -8 tons of sintered red ore impact, impact force, high temperature, the lining material of the destructive force is very great. In 2006, our Ceramic Materials Research Institute researched and developed high-temperature and high-strength ceramic wear-resistant materials for each part of the sintering machine (Wear-resistant material patent certificate No. ZL200710189737.2), which is a complete set of solutions to the wear-resistant problems of each part. So far, it has been applied to more than 100 iron and steel enterprises and more than 300 sintering machine production lines in China, completely solving the wear-resistant problems of the sintering system.
